10 reasons why you should add lemon juice to your hair care regimen
If after spending a lot of money to salons and hair care products your hair still looks messy, damaged or full of split ends its time you should include lemon water to your hair care regimen. Apart from its uncountable health benefits for its therapeutic property it is also an important ingredient which can vanish your entire hair problem. Rich in Vitamin C and Vitamin B, Folic Acid, and minerals like phosphorus, magnesium and calcium lemon helps get rid of different hair problems. Below are 10 reasons why you should add lemon juice to your hair care regimen.
1. Add shine
Because lemon is rich in citric acid it acts as a natural clarifying agent which helps to clear buildup from hair care products. If your hair looks dull, after shampoo and conditioner add an equal amount of lemon juice to equal amount of water and rinse. Also the acidity in the lemon flattens the cuticles, bringing out shine and eliminating frizz.
How to use
Mix equal amount of lemon juice and water and rinse your hair after shampoo and conditioner. You could also 2 teaspoon of lemon juice with a conditioner of your choice then apply the mixture on your hair. Leave the mixture on the hair for two to three minutes then rinse thoroughly. The result is amazing.
2. Get rid of dandruff

Eliminating these heating tools will help decreasing the problem and using lemon will eliminate the dead cell and keep your scalp clean and flake-free because of its alpha hydroxy acids. In addition lemon also has antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect which soothes irritation and helps fighting dandruff.
How to use
Mix a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice with three teaspoons of water, one teaspoon of vinegar then apply this to your scalp. Leave it on for 20 minutes before rinsing with warm water then shampoo as usual. Apply this method once a week.
3. Split ends
Lemon juice also prevents split ends. Make sure you trim your hair on a monthly basis. Lemon won’t make go away your split ends what you already have. But using it will help you to stop split ends.
How to use
Mix equal amount of olive oil, lemon juice and honey. Apply the mixture on your hair. Do this at least once a month. It will make the hair ends smooth, soft and lively.

Lemon juice strengthens hair follicles thereby reducing hair fall which helps thickens the hair and stops hair from falling while encouraging new hair to grow.
How to use
To thicken you hair, mix lemon juice from half a lemon, an egg yolk, a teaspoon of honey and a tablespoon of olive oil and apply this to wet hair. Let it stay on for half an hour before rinsing it off.

How to use
Take 3tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice and apply on your hair and wait 15mins under the sun. Don’t wait too long though.

How to use
Take 1tbspn olive oil and 1tbspn honey and 1tspn cinnamon. Mix well and apply before shampoo. Wait for 30 mins and Shampoo.

We often worry about the thickness and strength of our hair. The rich source of Vitamin C in lemons makes hair long and strong.
How to use
Mix lemon juice with olive oil or coconut oil and use the mixture to massage your scalp. This stimulates hair growth and also remedies hair loss. The vitamin C found in the juice also strengthens the hair. For best results, the scalp massage should be done regularly.

How to use
