A Christmas eve to remember at St. Jacob’s Village
“Christmas is not much about opening presents, as opening our hearts!”
Hi all,
Christmas brings so much love, joy and happiness to our lives and I am sure you all are spending some amazing time with your family! It’s Merry Christmas and I am not sure if Santa is going to bring all the gifts I want, but I did get all the laughter, enjoyment and festivities which I am cherishing a lot. Going to share my Christmas obsession and a beautiful evening I spent on Christmas Eve in a small village in Canada this year.
Christmas Obsession
My Christmas obsession has never been the gifts!! Instead my obsession has been the holiday lights, decorations, trees and overall glow that this festivity brings to life. Another thing I am obsessed is snowfall during this season. The flickering multi colored lights along with snowfall creates a beautiful atmosphere which I just keep staring at. Last but not the least, My Christmas obsession is spending time in some small town or village which would be decorated with lights and not much crowd where I can just get lost!! I did a trip to such a place on Christmas Eve this year which I will talk next.
St Jacob’s Village
St Jacob’s Village is located around 2 hour drive from Toronto. It is a serene little town with a few blocks of downtown consisting of some small cafes, restaurants, boutique stores and antique shops. I went during afternoon when the light was there. We just scrolled through the downtown going into every boutique and antique store. The best thing I liked being in this stores is all stores are home business, so the hospitality and greetings you feel at the stores are so personal and charming. If you are looking for artistic home decor, this is the place to be with such a huge variety of collection in every store.
Soon the sun went down and the place transformed into a lighted wonderland. Every store and house in the downtown is decorated with lights and although the shops close at 6, the lights are kept on which gives the feeling of Christmas. Bedazzled by lights with a childish awe we slowly walked to lovely restaurant cum bar named St. Jacob’s Grill. The interior was classy with lighted Christmas trees at front patio. Slowly sipping my Chardonnay and munching some delicious food I ended the day looking at the colorful Christmas trees out. Really A Christmas eve to remember at St. Jacob’s Village!!!
My Holiday Look
Holiday Looks always demand for shine and glamour so I bought this long Mesh dress from The Bay which was perfect for the occasion. Added some sparkles on my eye and Matte red lipstick from NYX cosmetics which fulfilled the look. Also carrying a cute little red purse from Guess which matches with the Holiday. How do you like this look, don’t forget to mention in the comments.
That is my little my experience of A Christmas eve to remember at St. Jacob’s Village in Ontario Canada. I wish all of my readers a Happy Holiday, Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year. Thank you for all your love and support this year and I will come back to you with amazing posts next year. See you in 2018.
